Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which rose 0.95% or 40.0 points to trade at 4270.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 0.73% or 10.0 points to end at 1380.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.31% or 60.0 points to 19480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.59% or 50.0 points to trade at 3100.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.46% or 160.0 points to end at 10780.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 1.40% or 440.0 points to 31000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.88% or 1.33 to $149.55 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.63% or 13.00 to hit $2089.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.53% or 18.35 to trade at $1214.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.64% to 2910.03, while BRL/COP fell 1.26% to 924.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 99.52.
