Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS), which rose 0.77% or 280.0 points to trade at 36500.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.61% or 10.0 points to end at 1660.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 0.55% or 15.0 points to 2760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.70% or 90.0 points to trade at 3245.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.86% or 170.0 points to end at 5770.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 2.15% or 35.0 points to 1590.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 8 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.21% or 0.25 to $122.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.89% or 61.50 to hit $3195.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.60 to trade at $1097.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 4.49% to 2849.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.58% to 851.23.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 97.36.
