Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.22% or 0.4 points to trade at 18.4 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.29% or 120.0 points to end at 9440.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 0.87% or 35.0 points to 4050.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 2.51% or 360.0 points to trade at 13980.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.26% or 30.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.67% or 40.0 points to 2355.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.85% or 1.20 to $142.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.45% or 13.00 to hit $2850.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.61% or 8.15 to trade at $1342.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.39% to 3094.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.57% to 939.58.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.67.
