Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 0.52% or 140.0 points to trade at 27000.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 0.41% or 60.0 points to end at 14540.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.36% or 5.0 points to 1405.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.60% or 0.3 points to trade at 18.5 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.45% or 160.0 points to end at 10900.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) shed 1.29% or 500.0 points to 38300.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.47% or 2.17 to $149.62 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.75% or 23.00 to hit $3082.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1329.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.03% to 2922.20, while BRL/COP rose 0.93% to 899.33.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.57.
