Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.20% or 30.0 points to trade at 1395.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.89% or 180.0 points to end at 9690.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.39% or 35.0 points to 2550.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 1.23% or 340.0 points to trade at 27320.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 0.79% or 240.0 points to end at 29960.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.78% or 10.0 points to 1270.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.12% or 0.18 to $154.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.35% or 39.00 to hit $2856.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.56% or 7.55 to trade at $1341.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.78% to 2841.16, while BRL/COP fell 1.49% to 883.47.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.07.
