Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.86% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 0.79% or 0.2 points to trade at 25.6 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 0.40% or 40.0 points to end at 10060.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was down 0.19% or 40.0 points to 21260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.61% or 70.0 points to trade at 2615.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.90% or 11.0 points to end at 567.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.72% or 1180.0 points to 67240.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 29 to 2 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.80% or 4.00 to $138.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.00% or 40.00 to hit $1958.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 11.80 to trade at $1291.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.56% to 2995.68, while BRL/COP fell 1.12% to 943.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.27.
