Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 0.50% or 120.0 points to trade at 24120.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 0.42% or 40.0 points to end at 9490.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 2395.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 2.36% or 300.0 points to trade at 12400.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 2.16% or 30.0 points to end at 1360.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 1.67% or 200.0 points to 11780.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 5 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.03% or 0.05 to $147.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.69% or 50.00 to hit $2904.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.97% or 12.75 to trade at $1332.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.46% to 2942.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.28% to 896.02.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 96.97.
