Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 5.00 points to trade at 95.00 at the close. Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) added 2.49% or 85.00 points to end at 3,495.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC:BIC_p1) was up 0.89% or 300.00 points to 34,080.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p), which lost 9.88% or 790.00 points to trade at 7,210.00 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 2.46% or 340.00 points to end at 13,460.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) shed 2.29% or 300.00 points to 12,800.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.18% or 0.45 to $244.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.71% or 55.50 to hit $7,788.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.80 to trade at $2,463.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.01% to 3,999.63, while BRL/COP fell 0.62% to 728.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 103.43.
