Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which rose 2.08% or 1,220.00 points to trade at 60,000.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) added 1.31% or 400.00 points to end at 30,900.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) was up 0.26% or 5.00 points to 1,930.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which lost 6.81% or 760.00 points to trade at 10,400.00 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) declined 4.49% or 480.00 points to end at 10,200.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) shed 2.84% or 1,060.00 points to 36,300.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 3.78% or 8.93 to $244.93 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 5.25% or 372.00 to hit $7,453.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 11.00 to trade at $2,535.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.04% to 4,211.26, while BRL/COP rose 1.28% to 753.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 101.61.
