Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.25% or 340.0 points to trade at 10800.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.58% or 35.0 points to end at 2245.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.36% or 40.0 points to 2990.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS), which lost 4.12% or 1660.0 points to trade at 38640.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.65% or 460.0 points to end at 27360.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 1.55% or 20.0 points to 1270.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 3.13% or 3.95 to $130.07 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 2.89% or 54.50 to hit $1942.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.70 to trade at $1318.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.84% to 2930.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.24% to 899.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 91.57.
