Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.32% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.60% or 35.0 points to trade at 2220.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 0.79% or 260.0 points to end at 33180.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 0.63% or 100.0 points to 15980.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 2.37% or 9.0 points to trade at 370.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.63% or 130.0 points to end at 7870.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 1.30% or 480.0 points to 36520.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.01% or 1.08 to $105.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 6.00 to hit $2125.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.53% or 18.70 to trade at $1200.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.30% to 2982.35, while BRL/COP rose 0.71% to 767.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 96.19.
