Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which rose 0.52% or 20.0 points to trade at 3870.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.48% or 60.0 points to end at 12480.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.34% or 40.0 points to 11740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.02% or 300.0 points to trade at 9650.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 1.21% or 220.0 points to end at 17940.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.09% or 20.0 points to 1815.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 5 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.83% or 1.15 to $136.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.13% or 4.00 to hit $3002.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.66% or 8.95 to trade at $1341.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.33% to 2929.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.01% to 919.68.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 95.71.
