Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 0.77% or 60.0 points to trade at 7820.0 at the close. Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) added 0.50% or 10.0 points to end at 2030.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 0.22% or 80.0 points to 36900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.03% or 50.0 points to trade at 2410.0 in late trade. Promigas (CN:PMG) declined 1.77% or 130.0 points to end at 7200.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.84% or 10.0 points to 1175.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.75% or 0.84 to $110.83 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.01% or 46.00 to hit $2247.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1225.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.13% to 2896.25, while BRL/COP rose 0.98% to 773.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 94.37.
