Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.32% or 75.0 points to trade at 2335.0 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) added 0.71% or 100.0 points to end at 14240.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was up 0.50% or 10.0 points to 2020.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 2.79% or 580.0 points to trade at 20200.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) declined 1.55% or 20.0 points to end at 1270.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 1.20% or 480.0 points to 39500.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 4 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.26% or 1.64 to $128.43 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 2.78% or 54.00 to hit $1888.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1316.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.79% to 2907.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.08% to 898.30.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 91.86.
