Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Mineros SA (BVC:MAS), which rose 5.52% or 235.00 points to trade at 4,495.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) added 2.23% or 40.00 points to end at 1,830.00 and Promigas (BVC:PMG) was up 1.30% or 100.00 points to 7,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which lost 1.42% or 180.00 points to trade at 12,500.00 in late trade. Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) declined 1.28% or 45.00 points to end at 3,465.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) shed 1.14% or 160.00 points to 13,820.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 4.34% or 14.49 to $319.66 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.47% or 50.00 to hit $10,507.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 34.51 to trade at $2,752.91 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.70% to 4,338.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.81% to 728.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 106.36.
