Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 3.51% or 940.0 points to trade at 27700.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 2.80% or 720.0 points to end at 26400.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 1.57% or 25.0 points to 1615.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.52% or 25.0 points to trade at 1620.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.56% or 30.0 points to end at 5300.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) shed 0.54% or 15.0 points to 2755.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.08% or 1.35 to $126.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.62% or 20.50 to hit $3302.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1161.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2673.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.89% to 845.48.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.66% at 96.03.
