Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which rose 2.53% or 460.0 points to trade at 18660.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 2.27% or 25.0 points to end at 1125.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.94% or 25.0 points to 1315.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which lost 0.68% or 160.0 points to trade at 23220.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 0.57% or 25.0 points to end at 4350.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) shed 0.28% or 80.0 points to 28000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.06% or 0.09 to $141.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.32% or 6.50 to hit $2047.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.53% or 18.35 to trade at $1220.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.89% to 2970.19, while BRL/COP rose 1.21% to 957.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.26% at 100.34.
