Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.73% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which rose 1.72% or 20.0 points to trade at 1180.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 1.53% or 440.0 points to end at 29240.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.49% or 20.0 points to 1365.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 1.00% or 10.0 points to trade at 986.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 0.11% or 5.0 points to end at 4495.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.06% or 20.0 points to 30960.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.80 to $135.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.39% or 25.50 to hit $1865.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.71 to trade at $1230.31 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.90% to 2957.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.39% to 931.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.42.
