Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.15% or 30.0 points to trade at 1425.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 2.07% or 300.0 points to end at 14760.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was up 1.85% or 160.0 points to 8800.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 5.95% or 145.0 points to trade at 2290.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.45% or 860.0 points to end at 58600.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.38% or 25.0 points to 1790.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 1.04% or 1.46 to $141.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.61% or 18.50 to hit $3069.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1301.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.20% to 3020.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.53% to 882.94.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 94.29.
