Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 9.17% or 220.0 points to trade at 2620.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 2.26% or 600.0 points to end at 27100.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.96% or 560.0 points to 29100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 1.97% or 220.0 points to trade at 10960.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 1.87% or 20.0 points to end at 1050.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.74% or 1080.0 points to 61000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.40% or 2.29 to $161.48 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.55% or 42.50 to hit $2696.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.27% or 16.15 to trade at $1289.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.58% to 3023.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.89% to 933.98.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.58% at 97.75.
