Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.34% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 15.78% or 890.0 points to trade at 6530.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 7.73% or 530.0 points to end at 7390.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.96% or 340.0 points to 17700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 1.05% or 280.0 points to trade at 26400.0 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 0.91% or 15.0 points to end at 1625.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.83% or 500.0 points to 59500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.27% or 1.70 to $135.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.14% or 32.50 to hit $2810.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.84% or 10.00 to trade at $1202.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.72% to 2507.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.82% to 825.81.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 98.58.
