Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.85% or 25.0 points to trade at 1380.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.77% or 150.0 points to end at 8630.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.66% or 320.0 points to 19560.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 1.16% or 400.0 points to trade at 34000.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 1.14% or 50.0 points to end at 4350.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.55% or 15.0 points to 2720.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.54% or 0.78 to $145.73 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 2.08% or 41.00 to hit $1928.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1235.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.15% to 2854.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.40% to 916.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 100.79.
