Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.32% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.81% or 200.0 points to trade at 11280.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 1.26% or 380.0 points to end at 30580.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 0.96% or 240.0 points to 25260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.38% or 0.6 points to trade at 24.6 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 0.89% or 40.0 points to end at 4450.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.75% or 20.0 points to 2640.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.13% or 1.55 to $135.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.44% or 8.50 to hit $1960.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.30 to trade at $1221.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.54% to 2978.04, while BRL/COP rose 0.94% to 934.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 99.43.
