Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.32% or 60.0 points to trade at 2650.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 1.33% or 15.0 points to end at 1140.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.14% or 340.0 points to 30040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 1.47% or 15.0 points to trade at 1005.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.14% or 100.0 points to end at 8710.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 0.86% or 0.2 points to 23.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.72% or 1.04 to $143.23 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.77% or 34.00 to hit $1950.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.55 to trade at $1234.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 2976.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.30% to 954.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 101.54.
