Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 1.91% or 220.0 points to trade at 11760.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 1.68% or 180.0 points to end at 10900.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.29% or 300.0 points to 23600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 7.89% or 210.0 points to trade at 2450.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 1.83% or 320.0 points to end at 17180.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.18% or 120.0 points to 10080.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 1.01% or 1.40 to $139.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.35% or 73.50 to hit $3051.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.80 to trade at $1283.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.59% to 3014.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.79% to 869.87.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.69.
