Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 1.06% or 320.0 points to trade at 30380.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 1.02% or 120.0 points to end at 11920.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.85% or 100.0 points to 11840.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.23% or 120.0 points to trade at 9610.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.10% or 0.2 points to end at 18.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.64% or 15.0 points to 2315.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.07 to $163.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.62% or 17.00 to hit $2757.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.53% or 6.70 to trade at $1266.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.20% to 2971.23, while BRL/COP rose 0.39% to 946.19.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 98.61.
