Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 7.39% or 860.0 points to trade at 12500.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 4.67% or 145.0 points to end at 3250.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was up 4.12% or 170.0 points to 4300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 3.15% or 190.0 points to trade at 5840.0 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 1.93% or 360.0 points to end at 18340.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 1.50% or 200.0 points to 13120.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.39% or 0.42 to $107.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.16% or 3.50 to hit $2199.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.60 to trade at $1236.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.20% to 3199.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.59% to 832.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 96.970.
