Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 3.62% or 400.00 points to trade at 11,460.00 at the close. Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) added 2.58% or 260.00 points to end at 10,340.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) was up 2.46% or 640.00 points to 26,700.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p), which lost 5.87% or 27.00 points to trade at 433.00 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV) declined 4.34% or 660.00 points to end at 14,540.00 and Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA) shed 4.14% or 2,400.00 points to 55,600.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.26% or 0.86 to $325.86 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 3.11% or 372.00 to hit $11,582.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 17.66 to trade at $2,627.44 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.20% to 4,412.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.18% to 712.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 107.86.
