Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.38% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 3.64% or 1300.0 points to trade at 37000.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 2.76% or 960.0 points to end at 35740.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 2.20% or 760.0 points to 35320.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.69% or 65.0 points to trade at 2355.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 1.22% or 15.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) shed 0.13% or 1.0 points to 789.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.83% or 3.25 to $111.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.20% or 5.00 to hit $2503.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 11.70 to trade at $1242.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.31% to 2931.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.48% to 750.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 94.59.
