Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.38% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS), which rose 2.55% or 940.0 points to trade at 37780.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 2.24% or 800.0 points to end at 36500.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 1.96% or 680.0 points to 35460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.07% or 50.0 points to trade at 2370.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 1.22% or 15.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Promigas (CN:PMG) shed 0.26% or 20.0 points to 7700.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.79% or 0.91 to $114.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 2.66% or 65.00 to hit $2508.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1254.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.83% to 2922.03, while BRL/COP fell 1.20% to 753.51.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 94.25.
