Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.18% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 7.55% or 740.00 points to trade at 10,540.00 at the close. Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB) added 2.59% or 65.00 points to end at 2,575.00 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) was up 1.72% or 240.00 points to 14,180.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p), which lost 1.75% or 400.00 points to trade at 22,500.00 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) declined 1.25% or 1,000.00 points to end at 79,000.00 and Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) shed 0.97% or 70.00 points to 7,110.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 4.44% or 12.48 to $293.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.25% or 21.00 to hit $8,584.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 21.05 to trade at $2,652.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.04% to 4,394.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.09% to 761.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 106.62.
