Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.17% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p), which rose 3.67% or 460.00 points to trade at 12,980.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) added 3.51% or 1,120.00 points to end at 33,020.00 and Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) was up 2.67% or 2,000.00 points to 77,000.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which lost 4.36% or 460.00 points to trade at 10,080.00 in late trade. Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) declined 1.35% or 50.00 points to end at 3,655.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) shed 1.14% or 20.00 points to 1,740.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.23% or 0.58 to $255.73 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 4.36% or 338.50 to hit $7,432.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 28.90 to trade at $2,736.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.38% to 4,267.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.28% to 749.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 103.30.
