Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 5.26% or 300.0 points to trade at 6000.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 3.32% or 65.0 points to end at 2020.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) was up 2.91% or 30.0 points to 1060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 1.50% or 60.0 points to trade at 3930.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 1.19% or 160.0 points to end at 13280.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 0.64% or 200.0 points to 30980.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.72% or 3.10 to $111.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.17% or 25.00 to hit $2120.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1228.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.53% to 3244.50, while BRL/COP fell 2.31% to 823.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 96.965.
