Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.01% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 3.45% or 1160.0 points to trade at 34760.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 2.69% or 500.0 points to end at 19100.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 2.36% or 680.0 points to 29460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 1.81% or 380.0 points to trade at 20600.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 0.36% or 5.0 points to end at 1365.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 0.26% or 40.0 points to 15320.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.15% or 0.19 to $128.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.46% or 28.00 to hit $1951.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.94 to trade at $1330.14 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.66% to 2931.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.50% to 932.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 92.79.
