Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 4.82% or 115.0 points to trade at 2500.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 2.31% or 460.0 points to end at 20360.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 1.94% or 340.0 points to 17900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.64% or 50.0 points to trade at 3000.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.14% or 760.0 points to end at 66200.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.09% or 110.0 points to 9990.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.92% or 1.13 to $121.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.26% or 26.50 to hit $2134.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.00 to trade at $1357.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.51% to 2855.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.85% to 884.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 88.49.
