Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 2.25% or 200.0 points to trade at 9100.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 3.51% or 600.0 points to end at 17700.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 1.28% or 340.0 points to 26900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 3.33% or 75.0 points to trade at 2180.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 380.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) gained 1.11% or 35.0 points to 3175.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.07% or 1.16 to $107.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.47% or 10.00 to hit $2146.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.60 to trade at $1221.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.66% to 2910.20, while BRL/COP rose 0.46% to 773.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.93.
