Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 2.00% or 260.00 points to trade at 13,260.00 at the close. Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB) added 0.78% or 20.00 points to end at 2,600.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 0.36% or 15.00 points to 4,215.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p), which lost 1.71% or 8.00 points to trade at 460.00 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) declined 1.51% or 280.00 points to end at 18,240.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) shed 1.40% or 25.00 points to 1,755.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 3.58% or 10.88 to $314.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 4.89% or 460.00 to hit $9,861.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 21.59 to trade at $2,654.61 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.36% to 4,411.78, while BRL/COP rose 0.05% to 733.54.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 105.71.
