Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.63% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which rose 6.03% or 1,740.00 points to trade at 30,600.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) added 4.89% or 900.00 points to end at 19,300.00 and Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) was up 3.31% or 250.00 points to 7,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which lost 3.52% or 65.00 points to trade at 1,780.00 in late trade. Promigas (BVC:PMG) declined 1.66% or 130.00 points to end at 7,700.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) shed 1.57% or 580.00 points to 36,400.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.17% or 0.43 to $257.13 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.30% or 262.00 to hit $7,680.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 11.50 to trade at $2,690.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.05% to 4,257.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.01% to 750.97.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.34.
