Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.62% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 4.69% or 300.0 points to trade at 6700.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 2.90% or 740.0 points to end at 26220.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 2.46% or 70.0 points to 2920.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 6.54% or 25.0 points to trade at 357.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.37% or 25.0 points to end at 1800.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 1.06% or 200.0 points to 18700.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.49% or 0.50 to $102.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.85% or 41.00 to hit $2174.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 8.70 to trade at $1317.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.34% to 3163.20, while BRL/COP rose 1.37% to 858.66.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 95.123.
