Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.59% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.83% or 90.0 points to trade at 2440.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 1.96% or 25.0 points to end at 1300.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.40% or 420.0 points to 30320.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which lost 2.85% or 1100.0 points to trade at 37500.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.63% or 12.0 points to end at 445.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 0.71% or 280.0 points to 39200.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.77% or 0.99 to $129.42 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.13% or 2.50 to hit $1886.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.90 to trade at $1324.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.71% to 2886.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.63% to 892.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 91.61.
