Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 2.51% or 780.0 points to trade at 31900.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 2.06% or 180.0 points to end at 8910.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.86% or 580.0 points to 31680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.12% or 0.3 points to trade at 26.5 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.02% or 25.0 points to end at 2420.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 0.97% or 100.0 points to 10200.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.99% or 1.20 to $122.62 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.89% or 38.00 to hit $2049.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 5.00 to trade at $1331.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.41% to 2904.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.41% to 881.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 89.54.
