Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.55% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 3.68% or 2200.0 points to trade at 62000.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 2.76% or 190.0 points to end at 7080.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.70% or 940.0 points to 35740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.70% or 50.0 points to trade at 2885.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 1.20% or 100.0 points to end at 8260.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 1.08% or 200.0 points to 18400.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.22% or 2.30 to $106.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 2.21% or 48.00 to hit $2216.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.35 to trade at $1317.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.01% to 3087.60, while BRL/COP fell 0.35% to 841.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.562.
