Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.49% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 1.22% or 120.0 points to trade at 9920.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.20% or 25.0 points to end at 2100.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.18% or 340.0 points to 29120.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which lost 1.36% or 380.0 points to trade at 27580.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 0.90% or 9.0 points to end at 990.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 4760.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 2 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.93% or 2.35 to $124.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.18% or 22.00 to hit $1887.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.70 to trade at $1292.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 2972.74, while BRL/COP fell 0.13% to 896.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.62.
