Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.95% or 85.0 points to trade at 2970.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 2.09% or 25.0 points to end at 1220.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.65% or 320.0 points to 19700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which lost 0.44% or 160.0 points to trade at 35840.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.03% or 280.0 points to end at 26800.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) shed 1.84% or 15.0 points to 800.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.25% or 0.29 to $117.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 4.05% or 100.00 to hit $2369.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.60 to trade at $1254.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.39% to 2942.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.62% to 759.64.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.68% at 95.00.
