Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 2.43% or 190.0 points to trade at 8000.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.09% or 200.0 points to end at 9790.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.88% or 180.0 points to 9780.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.63% or 0.4 points to trade at 24.1 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.61% or 50.0 points to end at 3065.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 1.48% or 240.0 points to 16020.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.21% or 0.25 to $120.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.25% or 6.00 to hit $2433.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.90 to trade at $1325.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.07% to 2852.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.05% to 879.54.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 89.57.
