Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 3.54% or 1180.0 points to trade at 34500.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 2.47% or 820.0 points to end at 33960.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) was up 0.89% or 320.0 points to 36240.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 6.20% or 24.0 points to trade at 363.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.51% or 120.0 points to end at 7830.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 1.28% or 40.0 points to 3090.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.14% or 1.22 to $108.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.78% or 37.00 to hit $2043.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.20 to trade at $1226.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.17% to 2898.05, while BRL/COP rose 1.01% to 780.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 94.83.
