Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 1.99% or 280.0 points to trade at 14360.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 1.63% or 200.0 points to end at 12500.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.26% or 30.0 points to 2410.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.85% or 290.0 points to trade at 9870.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) declined 0.85% or 10.0 points to end at 1170.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.81% or 480.0 points to 58500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.42% or 5.05 to $152.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.11% or 3.50 to hit $3147.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.69% or 9.25 to trade at $1334.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.75% to 2917.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.59% to 894.68.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 96.12.
