Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.32% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.79% or 280.0 points to trade at 10300.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 2.19% or 10.0 points to end at 467.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.17% or 15.0 points to 1295.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB), which lost 2.17% or 45.0 points to trade at 2025.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 0.67% or 20.0 points to end at 2980.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 0.56% or 60.0 points to 10740.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.87% or 1.07 to $122.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.65% or 12.50 to hit $1901.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1271.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.24% to 2966.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.11% to 896.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 92.85.
