Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.27% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.02% or 25.0 points to trade at 2485.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 0.77% or 10.0 points to end at 1310.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 0.75% or 140.0 points to 18880.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.89% or 0.5 points to trade at 26.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.67% or 1140.0 points to end at 67000.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.17% or 35.0 points to 2945.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.80% or 1.04 to $128.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.37% or 7.00 to hit $1893.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1320.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.43% to 2898.79, while BRL/COP rose 0.60% to 897.71.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 91.69.
