Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Agriculture and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.23% or 70.0 points to trade at 3210.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 0.42% or 5.0 points to end at 1195.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 0.33% or 80.0 points to 24460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 8.06% or 50.0 points to trade at 570.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.06% or 200.0 points to end at 9500.0 and Promigas (CN:PMG) shed 1.93% or 140.0 points to 7110.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.83% or 0.85 to $101.03 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.50% or 56.50 to hit $2320.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1203.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.79% to 2962.40, while BRL/COP fell 1.49% to 729.38.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 94.98.
